List Of Indications That You Have Been Blocked On WhatsApp
There are a couple of signs that can confirm you have been blocked. If you get all the indications given below then sure you have been blocked. WhatsApp has focused on users’ privacy so they don’t display the list or method from which we can tell you have been blocked by someone.
A single indication will not confirm that you have been blocked. So to reach any conclusion please see the percentage from which you can reach any conclusions.
Also, we are adding a percentage for the below methods from which you can judge whether you have been blocked or not.
- Last Seen(30%)
- Display Profile Or Profile Picture(40%)
- SIngle Tick(50%)
- WhatsApp Call(60%)
- About Section(70%)
- WhatsApp Status(80%)
- Master Indicator(Upto 90%)
- WhatsApp Group(100%)
- Message From Other Number(100%)
We will discuss each of the indications one by one so that you will get to the answer of whether you have been blocked on WhatsApp or not.
Indicator 1: Last Seen(30%)
This is the first step you need to check to verify the block status on WhatsApp. If you can see the last seen this will clear that you have not blocked. If last seen is not visible then it will indicate that you have been blocked. Although this indication will not guarantee the block status because a user can turn off the last seen from WhatsApp.

Indicator 2: Display Profile Or Profile Picture(40%)
If you can see the Profile Picture(DP) then this will clear that you have not blocked. If you have blocked on WhatApp then you will not able to see the user’s Profile Picture(DP). Also, this will help you to guess whether you are blocked or not. This will not draw any conclusion for blocked status.

Indicator 3: Single TIck(50%)
When you send a message to any contact first you can see there is a single tick means the message is delivered, then it turns to double tick which means the message is delivered(read receipt) to the user. When you see there is a double blue tick that specifies the message is read by the receiver. It will show you are not blocked. When you send the message and it will remain in a single tick then this will indicate you have been blocked. But as I have previously stated only one indication is not sufficient for drawing any conclusion.

Indicator 4: WhatsApp Call(60%)
You can use the WhatsApp call feature to guess whether you are blocked on WhatsApp or not. When you make a call from WhatsApp you can see there is Ringing during your call. If it is calling instead of ringing then maybe you have been blocked. As earlier I stated only one indication is not sufficient for drawing any conclusion. Because when your internet connection is off then you can also see this option during the call.

Indicator 5: About Section(70%)
This is also another indication from which we can tell whether someone has blocked us or not. For this, you need to check the about section of WhatsApp. If you can see the mobile number and about users, it means you are not blocked. But if you can only see a mobile number this indicates you are blocked. But you need at least 3 indications to reach any conclusion for a block or not block.

Indicator 6: WhatsApp Status(80%)
WhatsApp status is the way or methods from which we can share Text, Videos & Images in our status section. Nowadays it is playing a very major role in our day to day life. If you can see the status of another person, it clears that you are not blocked. But if you are not getting status updates from those contacts it means you are blocked. But you need at least 3 indications to reach any conclusion for a block or not block. Because users show their status updates in 3 ways.
- My Contacts.
- My Contacts Except for Some Contacts.
- Only Share With Some Contacts
Indicator 7: Master Indicator(Upto 90%)
I observe this indication while writing this post. If you get at least three indications like No Last Seen, No DP & SIngle Tick, then you draw the conclusion that you have been blocked on WhatsApp. Similarly, you can make the combination of any three indications to reach the conclusions.
Indicator 8: WhatsApp Group(100%)
After reading all the indications described above you can get some ideas that you can not draw any conclusion on behalf of single indications. But by performing this step you can definitely reach the conclusions. So you need to make a group and add that person to a group. If you are able to make the group then it clears you are not blocked. But when you get the error “Couldn’t add XYZ” it clears that you are blocked by XYZ.

Indicator 9: Message From Other Number(100%)
This is also a 100% indication which tells whether you are blocked or not. For this, you need to find a mutual friend. If you found mutual friends ask them to check the Last Seen, DP, About or simply they can send a message to them. If all were successful then you are blocked.
But when you don’t have a mutual friend then you need to send a message from an unknown number and if the message gets delivered & read this indicates you are blocked.
Note: The best way to find out you are blocked or not by a person simply asks them whether you have blocked me or not if you can. In some cases, it is not possible to ask. I can understand because I am also blocked by someone and not in the situation to ask them about it😔😔
