For this, you need to uninstall your WhatsApp and then reinstall it.

Things To Remember Before Following This Method

There is some important point you need to know before following this method. as this will also play a major role for you.

  1. You must have a WhatsApp backup to restore. if you have never made a backup then this method is not useful.
  2. If you miss restoring your backup, then again you need to uninstall your WhatsApp and follow the above steps.
  3. It allows us to recover all chats and media present in the backup. You cannot recover a particular data like the WhatsApp export chat feature.
  4. Don’t try to make a new backup. As this will overwrite the deleted messages. if you have done this then you need to follow method 2.

Method 2: Restoring A Less Recent Backup(From Local Backup)

This method is helpful when you have not connected your Google Drive to WhatsApp for backup purpose, then you can use your local backup which is stored on your phone to recover your messages and media.
